In the early stages, maintenance is typically required every 4 weeks. As your microlocs mature, this interval may extend to every 6 to 8 weeks, depending on your hair’s growth and condition. Keep in mind that longer intervals may influence the cost of your retightening, as more new growth will require additional work.

It’s strongly recommended to color or achieve your desired shade before installing microlocs. Once installed, you’ll need to wait until your microlocs are fully locked. Keep in mind, this differs for each individual and can take a year or longer. During this period, touch-ups or coloring are discouraged to prevent disruption of the locking process.
